How to make a new post with CSS Gallery theme

May 13th, 2008 Posted by Shabu, filed under Blog

I’ve described in many way that how to make a new post when you are using CSS Gallery theme, but still people don’t getting it. Most of them don’t know what is the custom field. It’s really hard to teach them.

In comments, email and in forum I’m getting a lot report that their thumbnail and images are not showing, for this reason I decided to make a visual guidelines. After a few hour work I got it done. Now I think newbie and old Wordpress user can get it easily.

Download custom field guidelines.

Hi, great theme and great work… love it… one problem… I added the image and the link works as you have pointed out – but how do I add description or how do I add other parts to the site say a blog – but I wont want those posts on the front page – just the themes… pretty much the same way you have set up… thank you so much…

I haven't used this theme, but I would assume you would place the following in your single.php template before or after the banner code:

    ----

To have the thumb not got to the website just replace the following in your index.php and archive.php:

    <a href="" title=""><img src="" alt="" />

    With:

    <a href="" rel="bookmark" title=""><img src="" alt="" />
    ----

    love the theme.

only when I implement my thumbnails I get half of the picture showing up in the thumbnail. I have loaded 4 of the same post. You can see it on the site.

    http://www.voyawebdesign.com

Its almost as it the thumbnail is positioning the picture incorrectly.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

Firstly I appreciate the free wp theme.

What I don’t understand is why it takes 10 steps to make one post?
What about people who want to submit their sites to the gallery?

Couldn’t a submit form be setup that already includes the settings / options so those 10 steps are automated?

Ideally, I’d want a submit form that automatically inserts the picture / thumb, description, and url into a new gallery post ( without having to manually add custom fields and go through 10 steps )

Has anyone done this can they share how they did it?

    Thanks

I have test this themes, I love this
if your content not show, follow this code :

    1. FIND THIS CODE IN (single.php)

ENTER THIS CODE after these code :
    <?php the_content(‘Read this page »’); ?>

    (it is 100% working…… if not working ???? I don’t know ???)
    (I’m using WP 2.8.2)
    thanks for all
