well I finally got the theme redesigned and I made it three thumbs wide instead of two. however, if you look at it in IE, the content area is pushed way down the page. do you know how I can fix this without messing up the rest of the layout? I'm afraid my page width is too wide, but it all fits, so I dunno why IE pushes it down. thanks.

Problem in your width distribution. Make sure that your 3 thumbs and associated margins are not more than the total content width. It happens only when your distribution is not perfect.

hmm, it looks like my widths are fine though. my content is set to 718 wide, and the thumbs plus margins only equals 695 wide. I tried playing with the widths and margins on other elements, and I found that if I make the page wider than 952 (which is the width it should be because that is how wide all my backgrounds are) then it will fit in IE, but that makes a side scrollbar, and I do not want that of course. I'll keep playing around, but so far I can't get it to work in IE.

well it looks like I figured it out. kind of odd though, because I actually have to make the width of the content area small, not larger, for IE to fit all the thumbs. I'm not sure why it had to be smaller, but they now load fine in IE. I'm very happy, lol. thanks again for your time and help!
