Hi,

I am using WordPress 2.5.1.

Is it necessary to upload two different versions (of the same image) for bigger and thumbnail sizes? I uploaded a full size image and selected Thumbnail but it is displayed as full. I am unable to get the URL for thumbbail image from the WP admin area.

The previous version of WP automatically displays both the full and thumbnail sizes of images after uploading while the current version doesn't.

No, it does not required two images. Just upload your main image and WP will generate another image that you can use for thumbnail. You have to find the image path in post code area.

When you click Insert into post, make sure that you have select the Thumbnail radio button.
